50.2 - Protecting the Supply Chain for Automotives and IoTs

1:30 PM–3:00 PM Jun 27, 2018 (America - Los Angeles)

Room 3024

The complex and vibrant supply chain for hardware and software components used in automotive systems and Internet of Things (IoT) edge devices involve large number of stakeholders and untrusted parties. Growing concerns of counterfeit electronics, mechanical components, sensors and actuators leads to a demand for innovative and high-assurance solutions for efficient supply chain management and attribution. In this talk, we will first describe the modern supply chain of automotives and IoT devices based on our experience in industry and then illustrate the risks and challenges. Finally, we will discuss the promising solutions in the emerging era of autonomous vehicles and smart IoTs.
