Description
The designers have the challenge to deal with various methodologies to run Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) analysis. This leads to more manual efforts, dependency on silicon results, and time to market in the product lifecycle. The proposed methodology defines the key ingredients of the Integrated ESD flow. There are three components including topological checks, dynamic checks and static checks. Integration is enabled by standard data models of each component of ESD analysis which can comprehensively represent the checks and design related information. The integrated flow simplifies ESD analysis and sign-off.
